I've finished another of my Portrait series.
Be sure to click here to see my "April Fool Harvey" which was initially inspired by the funky nose & glasses. My kids like it, what more can I say?
Time to get going on May's piece .... hmmm, what shall I do this time?

Slugging along ....
I've finished #7, my March 2009 piece which I feature on today's blog post.
Click here for a direct link to my blog Winter Wanderings. Be sure to leave a comment so that I know you've stopped by!
April has been started and once I complete it, I can post photos in the Members Gallery! I've still a way to go, but I am steadily catching up.
I think I can now actually start my first piece, January 2010, for the newest round of this amazing Bead Journal Project!

Catching up
Would you believe I am currently beading in high gear as I work to finish my BJPs for this 2nd series before I start on my 3rd series .... Click here for the direct link to the images of my September and October BJP2 pieces as featured on my blog, Winter Wanderings. Please let me know what you think of them.
I'd write more, but I need to get back to my beading!
Sincerely, one BJP-Behinder who is focused on catching up!

Double Inifinity - JULY page finally done!
Okay, i admit - it's been awhile since i visited this blog. I've got a 7 and 9 year old and kind of got distracted with amassing a stash of Victorian celluloid buttons this summer. Now that they are back in school (yipee!) and i've got an amazing collection (!) I finished July's page in only a day! It is on a blue batik-like cotton which had swirls and dots all over. I used this really cool clear triangular beads lined in blue and a red hex bead to outline the swirls. The border is a row of crystal triangles topped with the red hex and white and blue 15's.
Since my father was in the navy, i though i should pay tribute to his service, so i went through all my buttons (!) and found 3 with anchors. Note i painted the blue last night - that one was all gold, but didn't seem to quite work.
I like this page alot and find it ironic that it looks so much like my September page which honored my mother. Seems i'm just a swirly gal!
BTW: My oldest was born in August so she told me it has to be the BEST one. I've already got an idea, and will get to work this afternoon. Hope to have it done soon.
Question: how long does this blog stay 'open' to readers since August was oficially the last month? I'm glad to be back but sad it's now ending.
Oh - here is a link to the Flicker site to see my page up close:

Behind... and a change
I am waaaaay behind. I have only completed 2 months so far. So, what I have decided to do is completely change what I am doing. The cuff bracelets have turned out to be too much work for one month in my busy life, so I am now going to do smaller squares (2" x 2" or even 1" x 1" if I can't get my act together) with the goal of completing 12 of them by the end of 2009. I think I even know what I am going to do to display them when I'm done.

Believe it or not . . .
At long last, I have three months' worth of BJP projects posted on my blog. Never been this far behind before! As soon as another batch is mounted and ready, they will find their way to the blog soon, too.

Thought I might give up, but...
I'm restarting with something small - beaded buttons!
I hope Cindy who "warmed-up" with them and the participant from last year who did them won't think I'm a "copycat". I've wanted to play with beaded buttons for some time. Thanks to Ellen (http://dolliebead.blogspot.com/) for suggesting this.

Okay, almost there.
I have almost caught up to where I should be. I have posted November and January's BJP pages on my blog but I wanted to give you a teaser of my favorite one so far. There is more to see so be sure to visit my blog. Now that I have set my eyes upon my inspiration, I am moving right along with a lot of projects.
You may be asking why November and January but not December-- well I have a pattern that I drew years ago that I am hunting that I want to bead on my December page. It will go quickly but I didn't want that "Word" to get away, since I am using words for my BJP. If you wanna know more about the chosen words you will have to look at my blog post to understand.
Have a blessed day and enjoy all the pretty beads.

Running Crazy Behind
I've decided I've taken on too many projects -- go figure. And being the Libra, I try to give equal status and attention to them all. That explains the running crazy part. Anyway, I've decided that all of my BJP 'pages' are going to be pinkeepers like the ones I've been working on in a couple of swaps. I have the September fabric part sewn together and should start working on it this weekend. I know it is October, but I'll get there when I can. September's question to meditate is "What were you like when you were young?" I'll post a picture of my pieces to this puzzle this weekend, so all of you can at least see I've started. I am going to finish the round robins I'm in and then no more swaps or round robins until I get my BJP done. The BJP is for me, sounds selfish, but it is the truth. It will be my work for me. My time to stop and reflect. My chance to contemplate and grow.
