March done with Ribbon Embroidery!

HI all - I'm so excited about my March piece. I recently saw some ribbon embroidery and decided I just had to learn how to do this. So I ran to the book store and got a book and voila - my March piece (but it took me forever to find a needle that I liked that didn't keep breaking). Check it out!

On my last piece, there was a comment asking if I still put my favorite bead on each piece. The answer is no; that was last year. I still love that bead (Czech bead #61016).

Have a beady good day. Karen

What a breath-taking piece! And so are all its predecessors. I like the different techniques employed.

Thank you all for your encouraging comments. One of the goals of the BJP is to stretch yourself as a bead artist. I have set that as a goal this year and feel really good where I am going. I have totally enjoyed viewing everyone's work. Aren't we wonderful! I just love this project - thank you Robin for starting it.

Have a Beady good day. Karen

Karen! This month's mirror is fabulous, just fabulous. Don't you just love the ribbon embroidery, the texture and colors it adds to the beads. Wow!

If this were mine, I'd be excited, too! The way you combined the beads and the ribbon embroidery is wonderful.
