What do do when stuck on a flight?

Well.... we took a vacation to Denver, Wyoming & New Mexico last week for my birthday, and I wwas a little TOO productive during the flight. Click here for my November AND December Bead Journal Pages. I think I need to take a break! D'oh!

Beautiful, both pieces! And I'd love to see a photo of your traveling bead box.

I love the energy, the colors, the flow, and the beadwork. Glad you took a vacation so you could create so much!

Wow!!! You should be happy with these!!! They are awesome, both of them. I need to think about what it is exactly that I like about them so much... colors, black lines, the realization of your inspirations... I don't know. But they certainly do grab me!!! I do bead embroidery on the airplane too. Sometimes a hostess makes a big fuss about my work (as in a possitive oooooh and ahhhh type of fuss), but most often everyone ignores me. I always try to get an aisle seat with my right arm free (for stitching, of course!) Anyway, now we know there are three of us. Thanks for posting your pictures!!! Robin A.

Wonderful pages, and you are very inventive.

Do you never spill beads on a flight when it gets bumpy? And what about the light? Is it always sufficient, or do you take a battery-powered Ott Light along? What does your husband do while you bead? (Curious, I know.)

In any case, I do love the colours, the flow of the beads and the motifs.

In admiration,
Sabine

I'll have to do that in my blog. I've thought about photographing my little 'setup', but I keep forgetting.

It's really nicely self-contained and easy to travel with.

Better to be ahead than behind!!!! Your pieces are beautiful as always. I like how you 'shade' your colors. I take beadwork on flights as well, and I know many beaders who do that. Light is not the best, but I don't think you are a '"freak of nature'"

You're not a freak - I think a lot of us travel with beads. Keeps us sane right? I'm just loving your work, the colors are vivid and the fact that you have drawn them out yourself - wow.
