Last year I thought and thought about what shape to use and ended up tracing around a coaster that was under the glass that I was drinking out of - how simple! It was right under my nose.
This year, my co-worker helped me out with the puzzle shape - which I shared with Linda, Madeline and Sue S, who are in my Loomatics beading group (we meet in Dearborn Hgts and sometimes in Ypsilanti, MI). They approved of my choice. I know that the pieces are not going to fit together exactly, but it works with my theme. Square one is almost completed.
"Life is a puzzle, and it's up to each one of us to solve it."
I'll be working on this projects and a few others over the holiday weekend since I'll be camping with the dogs and husband.

Liz... After seeing the beaded puzzle dolls made by some of the Beaded Art Doll group members (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/beaded_art_dolls/), I also thought about doing puzzle pieces for my BJP... and for the same reason as you. But I didn't think about the concept that the pieces wouldn't have to fit together. I like that idea and it's appropriate. I look forward to seeing where you go with this! Have a fabulous camping trip with lots of time for beading. Robin A.
what a great idea, liz...I'm jealous!
LOL, I traced the rim of my favorite coffee mug to get the size/shape for last year's pages.
The puzzle theme sounds very cool!
The puzzle piece is a great idea.I'm looking forward to seeing them.
Love this puzzle piece idea!

Puzzle pieces are a fabulous idea. Check out your local thrift store to find a puzzle set for only a dollar! Or make up your own. Mainly, though...enjoy!
