Sometimes You Just Have to Draw Outside the Lines

I haven't quite finished my March Bead Journal Page... I took it along with me to Europe and it seemed the only time I had to actually work on it was during the flights. (Much to the awe and amazement of a few flight attendants who then thumbed through my sketchbooks...) Anyhow, I've updated my blog with the latest and greatest images. You can get there by clicking that neak peek to the side. NOW I've got to go through all my sketches to come up with April's journal page!

I've got a 'side project' going, as well. While in Europe, I've made a deal with an amazing Barcelona artist, Fatima Tocornal, to exchange a piece of art. We agreed to make a new piece based upon what we found inspiring of each other's personality. I've begun on a 'fallen woman' just for her - inspired by her work. I'm really excited to have one of her pieces in my collection! So... I'll be posting the progress on that piece also, soo!

Grrrreat work, Celticat, and an unusual idea to introduce the 90 degree angle. I love this firy girl.

Being selfish, I of course hope your April image will be about something that inspired you in Germany. If you choose an inspiration from another European country, I would still be very curious to see what German impressions made it into your sketchbook.

Herzliche Grüße,
Sabine

I am really loving your pieces. That black outline, just makes them "pop" and your images are great. The 90 degree angle is definitely unique!

I stopped by your blog just to see your BJP update & stayed to read the whole front page of your blog! Wow! You are one busy girl! I really like the fatima doll! And you made her pattern? Is she felt? You do incredible work! Thanks for the travel tips too!
